Summer Adventure Camps

Are you looking for something fun and educational for children during the summer? VMNH has 13 different camps for ages 3 through 14 this summer! Camps have a variety of themes to choose from, ranging from nature based to engineering or exploring Martinsville/Henry County’s past just to name a few. Visit http://www.vmnh.net/summer-adventure-camps to view a full list of camps and how to register. Thanks to the VMNH Foundation, the Southwestern Piedmont Master Naturalists, and the Kiwanis Club, scholarships are available.

Youth Volunteer Summer Adventure Camp Training
VMNH Youth Volunteers play an integral role in our summer camps by assisting educators with the various daily camp activities. Training will be held on May 30th from 10:00-3:00 for all youth helping with summer camps. The training will consist of an overview of the camps, first aid training, and includes a pizza lunch! RSVP for camp training by May 27th to discover@vmnh.virginia.gov or 634-4188. Click here for details.

Summer Internships
The museum is seeking motivated, enthusiastic students for rewarding summer internship opportunities. The interns will learn about and participate in a wide variety of educational programs offered at VMNH and will assist staff with various projects and programs. Interns will gain valuable, real-world experience in an inclusive, mission-driven, collegial environment, while being mentored by supportive VMNH education staff. Please visit http://www.vmnh.net/careers to find out more about this exciting opportunity.
