About

Skilled educators visit classrooms or community sites to present exciting hands-on learning experiences on natural history topics. Classroom programs are designed to correlate to the Virginia Standards of Learning and the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Programs are better suited for individual classes of up to 30 students and are about an hour to an hour and a half in length. Up to four programs may be scheduled for one school visit.

Availability

Currently, programs are offered in two regions, Southside and Central Virginia. Please, click the appropriate link above to see which programs we offer in your area. Live in the Hampton/Eastern region? Email us (discover@vmnh.virginia.gov) to find out more.

Fees

$70 for one program
$110 for two programs
$140 for three programs
$160 for four programs

We will bring any program to anywhere in Virginia. Travel expenses will be added to the program fee. Call or e-mail (see below) for a quote.

*Thanks to the support of Martinsville City and Henry County, outreach education fees are discounted for public schools within these districts.
