Dear Friends of Virginia Naturally & Virginia Environmental Education,
The Virginia Office of Environmental Education, the Virginia Museum of Natural History, and the Virginia Resource-Use Education Council are pleased to host the 2008 Environmental Education Conference on September 17 & 18 at the new Virginia Museum of Natural History in Martinsville.
We invite you to send a presentation proposal, or pass this information along to a colleague. We would like to inspire wonder, discovery, and responsibility for our natural and cultural worlds through interpretation of Virginia’s natural history while encompassing the idea to Think Global, Act Local.
The conference strands for this year are Outdoor Recreation and Field Activities; Environmental Education (EE) Resources Inside and Outside of the Classroom; Conserving Community Resources; Leadership and EE; and Children and Nature. The topics for presentations listed below. Each strand is meant to be suggestions only; certainly other presentations may be submitted. We surely hope you will consider sharing your professional talents with others at this important conference.
