The Virginia Museum of Natural History offers children ages 3-5 the opportunity to experience science first-hand with its annual Doodle Bugs program. The hour-long programs include imaginative stories, fun activities, games and crafts that spark creativity and curiosity. They are the perfect opportunity for adults and grandparents to learn and have fun with their children! Programs are held at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday of the month from September through May. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Doodle Bugs is also available to daycare providers! A museum educator will visit your daycare to provide the Doodle Bugs program on a day that suits your needs. Of course, the museum offers the opportunities for daycares to bring their children to VMNH to participate in the program, too!
