� Don't miss TOMORROW'S SCIENCE TALK at the Historic Wayne Theatre in beautiful Waynesboro, Virginia, as Steve Reeser, Regional Fisheries Manager at the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources presents "Developing Diverse Trout Fishing Opportunities in the South River"!

The presentation is set to take place Tuesday, March 15 at 7 p.m. and is free to attend. You can also watch the presentation live on the Facebook pages of the Virginia Museum of Natural History and the Wayne Theatre!

MORE ABOUT THE PRESENTATION
Audiences will be presented with background information on the industrial pollution that has degraded water quality, as well as impacted the aquatic ecosystem and fish community of the South River in Waynesboro. The presentation will also focus on:

(1) Improvements in water quality and the steady recovery of fish populations
(2) The creation of Virginia's first Delayed-Harvest stocked trout fishery in downtown Waynesboro (1989)
(3) In-stream habitat improvement projects and the Rife-Loth Dam removal that helped improve habitat conditions for trout
(4) The development of additional (diverse) stocked trout fisheries across South River in the Waynesboro area
(5) Data on the number of anglers fishing these areas and the economic benefits to the local area.

FREE for children under 3, museum members, and members of ASTC participating institutions
