Although the museum's field work at the Solite Quarry is winding down ...

Although the museum's field work at the Solite Quarry is winding down, the results of extensive digging for Triassic fossils continues to yield scientific acclaim. In two recently published scientific papers, two new species of extinct insects were described based on Solite Quarry fossils that now reside inside the VMNH collections in Martinsville. FREE for children under 3, museum members, members of ASTC Passport participating institutions, and EBT cardholders

My 4 year old son loves going to the museum. The exhibits are educational, interactive and kid-friendly.
