Paging all paleontology enthusiasts! The museum's curator of paleontology, Dr

Paging all paleontology enthusiasts! The museum's curator of paleontology, Dr. Alton "Butch" Dooley will present "Reconstructing Butetercup: From scraps of bone to fossil whale" this Thursday at 6 p.m. at the museum. During the presentation, Dr. Dooley will discuss "Buttercup", a juvenile baleen fossil whale that was first discovered at the Carmel Church excavation site in Caroline County, Virginia in 2011. Dr. Dooley and technicians are currently reconstructing the fossils to cast for future exhibition at the museum. Don't miss this wonderful and FREE presentation!

FREE for children under 3, museum members, and members of ASTC participating institutions
