Say hello to Apheloria polychroma, commonly referred to as "The Colorful Cherry Millipede"!

Apheloria polychroma, which translates to "millipede of many colors", was described by VMNH Myriapodologist Dr. Jackson Means and colleagues in 2018. This specimen was recently found at Hanging Rock Day Use Area in Scott County, Virginia.

FREE for children under 3, museum members, and members of ASTC participating institutions
