Skip Philips, CEO at LifePoint Hospitals-Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County, presented museum staff with a cast cutting saw on Tuesday, February 21. Jeff Fulcher, also of the hospital, demonstrated how to use the saw.
The saw is a donation from the hospital to the museum to aid in cutting open cast "jackets" that museum scientists and researchers use in the field to protect fossils and other delicate specimens during transfer from the excavation site to the museum labs.
