Part-Time Educator (Hourly Wage)
(Role Title: Education Support Specialist I)

Salary Range: Pay Band 2
Location: Martinsville, VA
Minimum Starting Pay:  $10.20 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience – approximately 20 hours per week (mainly afternoons)

An exceptional job opportunity with the Virginia Museum of Natural History is now available.  The mission of the Virginia Museum of Natural History is to interpret Virginia’s natural heritage within a global context in ways that are relevant to all the citizens of the Commonwealth. 

As Part-Time Educator (Hourly Wage), you will be responsible for working with the museum education team to provide a wide variety of education programming, including programs at the museum, outreach, and special events.

Minimum bachelor’s degree in education, science or natural history-related field or equivalent experience required.  Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with others requested.  Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
