Historical models on display

In 2008 the National Trust for Historic Preservation worked with the citizens of Martinsville and Henry County to identify and record 350 historic buildings. These scaled models are replicas of just a few of these historic buildings. They accurately depict the construction methods and materials used. All were made based on photographs and/or first-hand accounts of the structures.

These models are now on display in the VMNH Library, which is open to the public.

The models were made by Delano S. Cocke of Danville, Virginia and loaned to VMNH by Doug Stegall of Collinsville.
