About the VMNH Foundation

The VMNH Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that exists to support the mission and programs of the Virginia Museum of Natural History.  Your support ensures that the Museum continues to accomplish its mission with new and exciting exhibits, important research and inspirational education for learners of all ages.  With your support, the Museum will continue to make a lasting impression.

Changing the way we look at our past - and our future.

As a center for lifelong learning and a hub for tourism, the new Museum extends our reach to families, schools, visitors and businesses across the region.  Our hands-on approach offers lessons about our world, our environment and our future in exhibits layered to meet at every level of learning.  From

tiny specimens to enormous installations, each exhibit shares its secrets and tells its story in the universal language of curiosity.

Make an inspiring impression.  And make it last.

What kind of mark will you make in your community's future?  Your contribution to the Virginia Museum of Natural History Foundation will help educate, invigorate and inspire the people of your state.  Like a fossil finding its way to the surface, or a young mind grasping at something new, the impression you make will tell future generations all about who we are today and about our vision for the future.
