Research and Collections

• Ultracold Freezers for storing material for genetic analysis
• Be part of the next great scientific discoveries:  The museum conducts unique, analytical work with state of the art equipment. Help support science that involves everything from dinosaur bones to crime scene evidence!
• UV meter for monitoring the safety of our specimens on exhibit
• Support our collections growth

Exhibits

• Help us keep our live animals happy and healthy:  Support the care and feeding of our live animals used in family and school programs (snakes, turtles, and bugs have to eat too…)
• Lifesize Velociraptor dinosaur skeleton leaping onto the museum’s Fossil Overlook
• Help us bring the best exhibits to VMNH:  Make new, exciting exhibit experiences possible by supporting our exhibit fund!
• Bring the Ice Age to life:  Your support can enable the museum to add a large Cervalces scotti (Stag Moose) skeleton cast to The Harvest Foundation Great Hall. 
• Fabrication costs for the museum’s annual exhibition featured in The Harvest Foundation Great Hall

• Sponsorship to the annual Virginia Junior Academy of Science VMNH Award
• VMNH Sponsorship annually to the Virginia Association of Science Teachers
• Sponsorship of one area student to attend one of VMNH's week-long, creative and fun Summer Adventure Camps
• VMNH pop-up educational display for conferences, festivals, and events.

Thomas Jefferson Awards

• The VMNH Foundation Thomas Jefferson Awards honor individuals and corporations for outstanding contributions to natural science and natural science education.  Support to the awards allows the museum to continue recognizing Virginian's for their contribution to conservation and environmental stewardship of the Commonwealth.
