Dr. Nancy Moncrief (VMNH Curator of Mammals) and Dr. Elizabeth Moore (VMNH Curator of Archaeology) presented a hands-on program at VMNH to a group of about 40 high-school students from nearby Franklin County. Using the same methods as VMNH curators, the students identified replicas of mammal bones and teeth. In this activity, the students learned about climate change, animal extinction, and the introduction of non-native species.
