Dr. Kal Ivanov (sunglasses), assistant curator of invertebrate zoology at VMNH, along with fellow entomologist, Dr. Art Evans, VMNH Board of Trustees and research associate, are at Pilot Mountain State Park in North Carolina today. They are taking part in a "bioblitz" - an effort to inventory as many species as possible within the boundaries of the park.

My 4 year old son loves going to the museum. The exhibits are educational, interactive and kid-friendly.
