Katherine Ridgway (left) of the VA Dept. of Historic Resources is at VMNH using an X-ray fluorescence scanner that can detect arsenic, bromine, lead, mercury, and other elements. She is working with museum staff to scan recently donated taxidermy mounts.

FREE for children under 3, museum members, and members of ASTC participating institutions
