The Virginia Museum of Natural History hosted Earth Day Student Day today for over 200 local school children. Students from Drewry Mason and Rich Acres, as well as homeschool students, participated in the event, which was free of charge thanks to the support of American Global Logistics. Representatives from Dan River Basin Association, Philpott Lake, Henry County Public Schools, Laurel Park Middle School's FFA Chapter, and the museum held a variety of hands-on activities that taught children principles in environmental stewardship, as well as how technology and nature can go hand-in-hand.
