The Virginia Museum of Natural History recently announced its fall 2011 schedule of Field Trips. VMNH Field Trips are conducted throughout the year, and include trips to a variety of locations throughout Virginia and the region. Fossils and other scientific specimens collected during the Field Trips are vital to the museum and its mission of studying and interpreting Virginia's natural history. Those interested in joining VMNH scientists on Field Trips can choose from several locations and trip durations, from half-day events to expeditions involving overnight stays.
