VMNH Welcomes Brightspeed as Sponsor

The Virginia Museum of Natural History (VMNH) has announced a new event sponsorship agreement with Brightspeed, the nation’s third-largest fiber builder empowering families and businesses with multi-gig-speed 100 percent fiber-to-the-home internet. The one-year sponsorship, which spans from July 2026 through June 2027, provides significant financial support for a variety of the museum's family-focused events taking place during this timeframe.

“At Brightspeed, we believe connection goes beyond technology,” said Sabrina Anderson, local marketing manager at Brightspeed. “We’re honored to support the events at the Virgina Museum of Natural History that will bring families and neighbors together and create lasting memories and impact through community connection here in Martinsville, Virginia.”

As part of the agreement, Brightspeed will be a presenting sponsor of the museum's Dino Festival taking place July 24-25, 2026, the annual Bonez & Booz Halloween experience on October 24, 2026, Science Saturday: Bug Day on January 23, 2027 and Reptile Festival taking place April 23-24, 2027. Additionally, the agreement allows for Brightspeed's branding across a wide variety of the museum's digital and print assets.

"The museum's special events have grown tremendously over recent years in both scope and visitation," said VMNH Deputy Director Ryan Barber. "We are thrilled to have Brightspeed's support, which is essential for continuing this growth and allowing the museum to continue providing visitors with unique adventures and exceptional learning experiences."

Brightspeed's partnership with the museum began in 2025, when it became a sponsor of the museum's Halloween-themed Bonez & Booz event. Most recently, Brightspeed was a sponsor of the museum's Reptile Festival, which was held in April and drew thousands of visitors to the museum.

"We couldn't be more grateful for Brightspeed's continued support of the museum's programming," said Barber. "We are incredibly thankful that Brightspeed is now on board as a sponsor of a whole year's worth of programming and we look forward to leveraging this partnership to provide museum visitors with even more exceptional event experiences."
