The Virginia Museum of Natural History is once again partnering with the University of Lynchburg on a multi-week dinosaur dig in Wyoming this summer from June 26 - July 19, 2021! Better yet, volunteers are being sought to help with the dig!

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Basic skills in fossil hunting and collecting , as well as geological mapping. Most importantly, you will participate in the generation and execution of a scientific research project, including the scientific method, how to collect data, and how to analyze and report on those data.

COST TO PARTICPATE
$500 fee each week (not including transportation)

Trips to the Wyoming Dinosaur Center and
Yellowstone National Park
Food
Lodging
All supplies necessary for fieldwork

WHERE WILL YOU STAY
The KOA in Greybull, Wyoming

COVID-19 INFORMATION
The University of Lynchburg, the lead institution of this dig, is continuing to monitor the global pandemic and will convey any potential changes with as much advance notice as possible. In the event the program is cancelled, all fees paid will be refunded. Participants are required to abide by the COVID Health and Safety protocols set by the University Pandemic Task Force. These protocols may require that all participants get the COVID-19 vaccination.

Admission:

$10 for ages 18-59
$5 for ages 3-17, seniors 60+, and college students
FREE for children under 3, museum members, and members of ASTC participating institutions
