Hell Creek Vertebrate Faunas

The Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum and Shenandoah University paleontologists participated in digs in the Upper Cretaceous Hell Creek Formation of Montana. The specimens of the digs were deposited in the Virginia Museum of Natural History collections in the late 2010's. Specimens include hundreds of bones from ceratopsids, hadrosaurids, and theropods, as well as microvertebrate fossils, including squamates, crocodyliforms, and mammals.
