Wyoming Dinosaur Fossils

Since the 1980s, the VMNH has participated in digs in the Upper Jurassic Morrison Formation of Wyoming. The digs have produced hundreds of bones of dinosaurs, including long-necked sauropods and stegosaurs. Recent digs - in collaboration with Dr. Brooke Haiar of the University of Lynchburg at the “Two Sisters” localities - have produced bones of a small-bodied (~50 feet) sauropod dinosaur.
