Around 100 visitors took part in the Virginia Museum of Natural History's Holiday Open House, "A Caribou Christmas", on Tuesday, November 30. Visitors enjoyed free admission to the museum, holiday shopping specials in the Museum Store and PALEO Cafe, live music, and family activities. Musical performers at the event included the Fieldale Collinsville Middle School Bell Choir, and the Waterfront 4 Harmonizers of Smith Mountain Lake. The Holiday Open House also included a lighting of the VMNH Christmas Tree, along with children's programs and a book reading by Santa and Mrs. Claus.
