The Virginia Museum of Natural History and six other nationally renowned research and educational institutions were recently awarded a $2.3 million grant from the National Science Foundation! Together with the American Museum of Natural History, the Yale Peabody Museum, the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard, the University of Colorado, the University of Illinois, and the University of Kansas, VMNH is creating a state-of-the-art digital database of all the major fossil insect collections in the United States.
