The Virginia Museum of Natural History has published "The Marine Bryozoans of the Northeast Coast of the United States: Maine to Virginia." This publication, co-authored by Dr. Judith E. Winston and Dr. Peter J. Hayward, is the museum's 11th memoir, and is now available for purchase for $39 online at www.vmnh.net, in the VMNH Museum Store, or by calling 276-634-4141 ext. 4319. Dr. Judith E. Winston is curator of marine biology at the Virginia Museum of Natural History in Martinsville, Virginia. Dr. Peter J. Hayward is honorary research fellow at Swansea University in Wales, United Kingdom.

The VMNH exhibit "Living off the Land" is now open at the Rockfish Valley Foundation Natural History Center. The RVF Natural History Center joins the Radford University Museum of the Earth Sciences as a VMNH Affiliate.

The newest VMNH Affiliate, the Rockfish Valley Foundation Natural History Center, held its grand opening on Thursday, June 10, 2012. The Center is hosting the VMNH exhibit "Living off the Land." The RVF Natural History Center joins the Radford University Museum of the Earth Sciences in the family of VMNH Affiliates.
