These bones indicate this individual was as massive as its brethren from other locations, with a wingspan pushing 20 feet long. Virginia is home to many amazing scientific discoveries and specimens. Throughout 2019, the museum will be highlighting one scientific discovery each week throughout 2019 as part of its "52 Virginia Discoveries" exhibit. The actual specimens will be on display inside the museum's lobby.

The massive Stegosaurus (pictured) and Triceratops cast skeletons will remain, along with some amazing dinosaur fossils, including the only known fossil evidence of T-rex and Triceratops engaging in battle! The museum's exhibits staff will also be adding new displays to the special exhibit gallery in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates!
